On retreat

Tonight I'll leave for my annual retreat, so I won't be able to blog until I get back next week.
While there I'll pray in a particular way for the intentions of everyone who visits this blog. If you would like to leave any intentions in the comments box, please feel free to do so. When I get back I'll print them out and put them in our community prayer intention book.

Your community of nuns must be a real threat to satan...I say this because this is my third try now to send intentions to you. Each time something has occurred to make my intentions disappear. Here goes again: 1) Poor Souls in purgatory, 2) the conversion of sinners/China, 3) purity for my sons in their relationships, 4) great marriage for my daughter/son-in-in law. Thank you so much!

Please pray for my husband Erik and his unit in Iraq. Please especially pray for the soul of David Murray, a young soldier in his unit who died a few days ago. Erik would also like the sisters to pray for Fr. Sanchez, their priest over there. From what Erik tells me, he just sounds like a really gung-ho, amazing priest.

This is my first visit to your blog. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Please pray for my teenage sons who are experienceing the typical teenage frustrations and self-doubts. They are great kids and I hope God continues to guide them and their friends to goodness and light. It is hard being young today. Let us all pray for young people today. Please pray, also, for my mother and my friend's mother, both of whom are sick. God bless you, Sister.

Please pray that my friend invites Jesus back into his life and that he follows avenues that lead him and those around him to the truth rather than astray.

Please pray for a miracle that my cousin, George Smilnak, may, through the intercession of Pope John Paul II and God's Will, be cured. Thank you.

Dear Sister Lorraine,

Please pray for the following intentions: 1) That the young woman to whom I offered a job today will accept and that she and all of us will be happy working together. 2) That my transition into additional responsibilities will be smooth and successful. 3) That my daughter will return to the practice of the Faith.
Thank You,
P.S. I too will be on retreat next week, and I will remember all these intentions. I haven't had a retreat like this for many years, and I am looking forward to a grace-filled time with the Lord.

Please pray for my husband, who is getting ready to enter RCIA this Fall. Also, please pray for our older daughter, who will begin preparing for her first Penance and Communion starting this fall (though we, naturally, have been preparing her for years for this!).

Thank you, Sister, and God bless you!

Please pray for my 16yo ds Matthew. He has been hsed since kindergarten and has always felt called to be a priest up until now. He has become angry and resentful with me and with hsing and is trying to be 'normal' like other teens. He will be going to a public school in the fall. Please pray for his spiritual, emotional and physical well being this coming school year and also that if he has a vocation to the priesthood that he doesn't lose it. And please pray for his father and I that we make good decisions and are a good example for him. Thanks and God bless!!
