Tridentine Mass rumors

Some rumors are going around that Pope Benedict may allow wider use of the Tridentine Mass, allowing any priest who desires to do so to celebrate it. Right now, the Church allows it only when the bishop of the local diocese approves its use.

The rumors said that the permission would come during Holy Week, so we'll see.

I think I'd really like the Tridentine Mass, so I hope he does allow wider usage of it.

Deo Gratias!!! Finally!! Why would a priest need permission to say a Mass that was the liturgy of the Church for centuries?? This decision is long overdue. I do feel sorry for the "progressive Bishops" who have made a career out of denying this right to the many that rightfully aspire to it...I will pray for these Bishops

I was not very active in watching the news these past few weeks. Did any document come out concerning wider usage of the Tridentine Mass?
