A mystic's brain

Another interesting story, this time about a study to see how the brain reacts to a mystical experience. I wonder how valid it is, though, since no one can call up a mystical experience at will. It all depends on grace, and when it happens, the person receiving the grace of prayer isn't likely to call the doctor for an on-the-spot MRI!

Thanks to Marty Helgesen for pointing this out!

I definitely wonder about some "scientists" these days. How in the world can someone be totally absorbed in God while in an MRI machine? That is so weird. Anyway, if I was that person who was having this glorious ecstasy, I wouldn't want anyone to interrupt me.

The last time I was in an MRI I had a mystical experience of talking with God. I was fervently praying, "God, please, get me out of here!"
